A lot of stereo systems I've played on have been misconfigured as mono. Sound engineer has been surprised/disbelieving when I've pointed this out. Always worth sending them a hard left/right signal to check. Usually it's on the mixer but can take a while to isolate the issue. I find it really weird how journalists are absolutely obsessed with elections. You never hear them talk about any political motivation apart from getting elected. If some politician tries to do something or make some point it's \_always\_ cast as some calculated move based on likelihood of getting elected.

In 2018, the academic icmpc/escom musicology conference moved to a hub-based model, where delegates travelled one of four 'hubs' in Australia, Europe, North America, South America. There was a 70% reduction in emissions pp, 50% greater attendence, and 61% of people preferred it.
