I've been playing a lot of Valheim! I installed a mod for mass-planting stuff in neat rows and it's brilliant, makes farming so so much more pleasant. I also tackled a fuling camp (and died a bunch of times), tackled a frost cave (and died a bunch of times), and managed to locate Moder's summoning spot in the world I dedicated to killing bosses. I had some failed experiments with some web analytics apps and Docker and MariaDB today, and I was just so tired at the end of it I ended up restoring the droplet from a backup. Bless DigitalOcean for being able to set those up to run weekly with basically a simple press of a button, they sure come in handy sometimes.

Self-hosting update!

I did manage to set up an experimental one-person GoToSocial server! Still dunno if I wanna use it under its current domain tho and I'm also mildly worried about storage on my tiny VPS, so I ended up holding off from actually actively using it for now. It's just kinda hanging out there.

I installed Syncthing, and it's working! Well, more or less.
