[@manton](https://manton.org/activitypub/manton) just added the ability to follow Bluesky users from [https://micro.blog](https://micro.blog), which is part of the [#fediverse](https://social.wake.st/tags/fediverse).

Bluesky still isn't federating but it now outputs .rss feeds for all accounts so this is sort of a hacky way of federation. A bit similar to how Threads is federating at the moment. Regardless its an interesting milestone and something we will start to see much more of in the coming months.

My iPhone 8 has a battery that only lasts for an hour now so I switched to this Motorola Android phone with a cracked screen that I found at the last house I was living at. Having fun figuring out the FLOSS Android ecosystem and what state everything is in. Search and categorization in F-Droid is really lacking. in the saga of Matrix is a trash fire... Element still doesn't support multiple accounts logged in so to check my messages in a different account I clicked signout with gives me this warning about backing up my keys. Looking into this Summer of Protocols thing that [@evan](https://cosocial.ca/@evan) and [@tomcoates](https://me.dm/@tomcoates) got accepted for to work on adding encryption to [#ActivityPub](https://social.wake.st/tags/ActivityPub), and realized its a grant from the Ethereum Foundation. I am not opposed to crypto slush money flowing into more useful projects like the [#fediverse](https://social.wake.st/tags/fediverse) but thought it was interesting that I hadn't seen anyone mention this fact yet.
